Hahaha. UNFORTUNATELY due to technical problems with Puspakom, I cant transfer the new owner's name. Didn't want to talk much bout it coz still pissed off, I think I had been cheated, here's what I learned today when buying a used car:

First Project in June.
Okay. How to start a great June? Me? Cough, fever, and sore throat! Yay. It had been few days already the cough. Damn it.
So basically Rolla just came back. After the engine rebuild, found out that Rolla's not charging efficiently. So send it back to JMG and new alternator fitted in and more grounding added. And JMG even polished Rolla. As good as new now.

Engine - Out. Cage - In? Part III.
Just got back from Malacca trip and went straight to JMG.
Current progress? Engine in already.

Cages bolted on already. Rolla's body gonna be stiffer now!

Also, asked them to spot weld the strut tower from below. Just wanna glue up the loose joint. Both strut tower were welded. Hopefully will improve a bit handling.

The caster rod holder also were welded heavily. Hehehe.

And unfortunately, I cannot test it on MARDI this weekend, but never mind coz you cant rush perfection! Will save up the tires for next week event.

Engine - Out. Cage - In? Part II.
Okeh.. So here's today's update!
Around 5pm, went to Dworks in Sri Kembangan to pick up my half-cage. Took it and went straight to Jeembo's Garage in Kajang. As usual, they did it pretty fast. Engine is done. Only wiring left.
Tested the roll cage. Earlier, Dworks mentioned about the cage; originally it was fitted in a Corolla KE35, then modified to fit Corolla KE70. So, test time!
Fit like a glove?

Head room clearance. Superbly ngam also.

And another view. The plan is to bolt it on. Not weld it. So that I can remove it anytime for daily usage. Dont want too much issue with JPJ.

Drift e-brake button for easier hand braking method.

And the engine. Not going to paint it orange. Wanna keep its original identity.

And if anyone noticed, actually Rolla is somehow following Tougeking's ex-KE 70 exterior actually. And even the 20valve almost the same and the half cage too. Oh well, where is he now eh? He's a good teacher. Even his driving on Cameron scared me to death. Got a chance to had a ride last year. Hohoho.
Anyway, Im going to Melaka tomorrow. Three days of holiday. So goodnite world!

Engine - Out. Cage - In?
After my final paper, rushed to JMG to checked what's the updates with Rolla. Arrived, still saw them working on my engine. Damn, they did it pretty fast. Didn't have a chance to see the internal and the process. Was greeted with Rolla when I arrived.
Hey hey. "How are you doing man?"

Checked the bay. Somehow no rust. A bit crack at the suspension tower and caster holder. And that's all. The rest still in good condition. And about the crack, will spot weld it.
And the engine on a stand. Pretty much done. All cleaned and sealed! Hopefully no more leaking after this. And the internals? Pretty much stock said Jeembo.

Dunno what to describe. Since everything had been replaced. Some close up.

I was hoping to see some surprise but unfortunately no. Stock and no aftermarkets. Kekeke.

And after that, me myself went to a few half-cut shops around Cheras area. What is wrong with me eh? Wandering alone. Hm hm. Ok, so my final destination of the day was Dworks in Sri Kembangan. Actually just wanna window shopping, and asked them this joke question coz I was expecting 'No' as an answer. Asked them whether they have half-cage for KE70 or not, and they told me they have it!
Then again, asked them the price and I wanna see the item. Price quoted and I checked it. And its SOLD! Paid a sum of deposit, and will take it tomorrow. Also bought a handbrake button for drifting.

So? My '3 years at UTM' gift for myself? A roll-cage!

Bringin Down the Engine.

OK, so today I visited my car at JMG. Had been diagnosed already. And the problems?
As I remembered what they told me & what I think of Rolla:
*Engine need to removed from the body. Coz oil sump is too close with the cross member. So cannot remove it without removing the engine.
*Leaking also occurred at the belting area (Is it the correct term?). The oil seal damaged already at one of the pulley.
* Longshaft bushing damaged too. That's the reason the axle is so freakin noisy n 'loose'.
*Crack showed at the caster rod holder.
*Wiring is like fuck. Hahahaha.
So, lets see some random snap first..
Jeembo sold his E30. 9jj front, 10jj rear. Dayyyuumm.

Final posing with the car.

And shall I say I have a twin at JMG? Kay's Rolla.

JMG's fine art maybe? Wireless engine!

Not only wireless, but also wearing one of the most expensive RS Watanabe! Even the tires need to be special ordered!

And.. Celica TA25 with?

1jz!

And back to the issue(s) & solutions:
*Engine removed. So can paint the rocker and cam. What color should I paint it? Flat black? Florescent orange too?
*Change all the gasket and oil seal.
*Longshaft bushing had been replaced. Less noise! And like Mike suggested earlier; try to change the axle oil. See how dirty is my previous axle oil! And already changed it. Even lesser noise!

*As for the crack, will weld it and put some plate to strengthen it.
*Rework the wiring. Cleaning and removing some that are not functioning.
*Putting back the front spoiler. And maybe a new unit of drift e-brake by Drift House, and Arospeed push start + switches + cut off switch coming in too.
But! Will not paint the engine bay coz not all stuffs will be removed. As you can see in the photo, Rolla a bit 'senget'. The other day, I change the pillow ball setting, thus making it one side more negative. LOL. Will adjust it back soon.

So, will try to update time to time. And my last paper is on Monday! Weehooo. See you soon Rolla!

Florescented?
I hate delaying new updates coz when I update it, it will be a bulk update! Every time I do it, it will be two or three new topics at one time. Thanks to the exam and lack of internet line, I cannot post it on time. Ok, so Rolla is not with me currently. Where she went?
Currently at Jeembo's Garage for some repairs. So, why now? Actually I fed-up already with the leaking here and there. And also regularly topping up the engine oil is expensive! So already told them to change all the gasket, also the power steering leaking issue. Asked them to replace whatever leaked it. And anyone noticed that Rolla's axle become too noisy now?
Well after they checked and test drove it, they found the source already! Actually the axle is still in good condition despite some noise (Bearing maybe?), what make it so loud is the bushing at the long shaft broken into pieces already. So, another thing that will be replaced too.
And last thing to be done?

Wiring! After constantly being reminded by Mr. Movin & Joe 40sen, finally got a chance to do the wiring back. Hope they'll do some magic to this messiness. Not hiding the wires, just clean up the messiness.
And got this front spoiler back! Will fit it back to Rolla. Brand new one. Thanks to Retro Bodykits for sending it to me. Oh, another one is for Din Longchamp.

Meanwhile?

Lubed all my metal tools to prevent it from rusting and etc.
More tools and some stuffs!

Usual routine for DIY-ing the rims. Cleaned it up and dried it.

Then sand it lightly to remove dirt and top layer of surface.

Undercoat it, paint it, and clear coat it. And dried it!

Done!

Nice? Well, I like it!!!
